Colour

We are a digital-first brand and our colour palette has been specifically chosen to reflect this. Accessible, vibrant and energetic... just like us. Its strength is in its simplicity.
How we use our colours makes our communication unique and instantly recognisable as measurable.energy.

Pairings

Our colours work best in pairs. It’s these unique combinations that makes them ownable and identifiable as measurable.energy.

These colour pairings work well on top of each other and have been selected to provide contrast and accessibility. As such, they shouldn’t be mixed and matched.

Layers

The order of these layers are integral to our brand system.
They work well because they build from dark to light and therefore can't be shuffled around.

Tints

The tints colour palette has been specifically created for infographics. It allows us to create charts and graphs where we may need colours beyond our core palette.

You should only use tints of a colour to complement the full colour itself, otherwise the design will look washed out. Tints should only be used in increments of 20% and we never skip a step e.g., don't use 80% of light purple next to 40% of light purple - it just doesn’t work.

Please see infographics section for further guidance.

Accessibility

We’ve tested our colour palette to ensure maximum colour contrast between typography and background colours.

In order to meet Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.1 AA accessibility criterion 1.4.3, the text we use needs to maintain a contrast ratio of 4.5:1.
